White Platinum with black interior (only black has the wood trim which my wife liked). It's got almost every option and the tow package. Rides smooth and quiet. Impressed with the lighting, lane assist and adaptive cruise. Overall a sweet ride. Vincent Posted February 19, 2019 Author Report Share Posted February 19, 2019 Thanks to all. So far it gets 5 stars. If I have to find one criticism, it would be the camera quality. They are adequate, but the BMW camera showed a much clearer picture. Sort of like an old TV versus HD. Again, not terrible because you can see fine, just not the sharp detail. Some cool features are the auto high beams and the way the lights turn as you corner a turn or signal a turn. Also, the welcome mat at night is cool to show friends. Cosmos36 Posted February 19, 2019 Report Share Posted February 19, 2019 Although I consider the MKX camera (assumed to be identical to that of the Nautilus) to be adequate, it is NOT nearly the equal of the camera on my 2012 Hyundai Veloster. Of all the tech available, the bliss & rear camera has aided my driving more than anything else. Navigation? Waiting very patiently for my Nautilus to be built week on March 18. Blue Diamond/ Slate interior. We have it on the mkx and it's nice but not something I would go out of my way to get (on the F150 it was at least $8K - $10K to upgrade to the Lariat to get those features). When driving on crowded multi-lane highways at speed it's nice to be able to glance over before changing lanes. What is can't pick up is someone closing on you at speed. Vincent Posted February 21, 2019 Author Report Share Posted February 21, 2019 Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I mentioned the camera quality as a potential improvement for the 2020's. I have one more. To turn on the steering wheel heater, you have to go to the LCD screen, hit climate, menu, then steering wheel heater. Too many steps, especially while driving. I think an improvement would be a hard button on the steering wheel or dash, or have it go on automatically at a certain car temp, like when the cabin is heating up. elijahbird7 Posted February 21, 2019 Report Share Posted February 21, 2019 On my 16 MKX, after a Sync Software update many months ago, on the "Home Screen", that update added a symbol to turn on the heated steering wheel on the lower right hand side of the screen. It's small, but definitely there...so a Nautilus should definitely have it there as well. Very easy to turn on the heated steering wheel and the nice thing is the system remembers that it was selected on and you don't have to re select it each time the car is started. RRivera Posted February 23, 2019 Report Share Posted February 23, 2019 Yes, good to have the steering wheel heater button on the home page, but IMHO it would be MUCH better to have a physical button instead of having to tap a relatively small onscreen icon. Allows one to keep one’s eyes on the road and turn it on/off by feel, just like with the seat heaters. Also, though it’s more convenient on the home page than having it on the climate page, it really only saves one tap. And it becomes more cumbersome if you’re using Apple CarPlay. I have to first press the App icon in the bottom left, then the Lincoln button to get to Sync, and possibly then get back to the Home screen before being able to toggle it off with the icon. Would be infinitely easier in that setup- and safer- to just press a physical button on the steering wheel. Honestly a bit suprised they didn’t do this.
