Are you switching to trip1 by toggling the steering wheel switch? If so, it should stay when you restart.
-
I'm curious as well, it hasn't been cool enough to use A/C. My fingers are crossed...

Here's a couple I posted a while back; there are only three options, tach+speedo, speedo only, speedo only with eco indication. Those are the gauge options. I use tach+speedo, and the central area is the multi-function indicator. Using the right side steering wheel toggle switch you can easily scroll through tire pressure, trip comps, power distribution (if AWD), etc. It's not very configurable, but it's really easy to get a lot of info from, which is the primary purpose, so I'm very happy with it.

Congrats!

Traded in my 2016 MKX reserve on Saturday for the 2019 Nautilus reserve

Congratulations! I did the same a while back and am very happy with the Nautilus over my 2016 MKX - which I enjoyed as well. Happy motoring! -
With the 8 speed there is no lockout in S, if configured to normal. I’ve tried many variations and results are the same. If you have AWD and set S to “normal” it will use all 8 gears, ~40 mph per 1000 revs in high. If S was set to “sport” , maybe so, haven’t tried that....

I’m guessing I’m affected by this, though since I keep my hands on the wheel always it doesn’t look like I’m at risk for anything. Thanks for posting this ?

I was skeptical about it at first, and found a way to easily remedy it, but in actuality it doesn't bother me if its on. While my road selection is S, so its off, I have actually turned it on when in traffic, etc., to save a little fuel. At least on the Nautilus, it's really seamless; you hardly notice anything but the quiet...

I did the reverse; had a 2016 with the 22 ways and it was acceptable but I didn't really like them. So I ordered my Nautilus with the standard seats and am much happier. That was good of the dealer to allow you to reorder anaother. If the standard seats had the bottom extension adjustment they would be perfect for me.

The brochure is now available online for download.

That’s great; mine has only done it a couple of times so it’s not very repeatable. I’ll be curious to see what you learn.
-
I have indeed experienced that same phenomena, but only twice, and not in the last couple of weeks. I'm curious about it as well.

The interior is basically the same as the 16-18 models, the only thing I’ve noticed is the steering wheel switches and turn signal/wiper stalks, which aren’t really styling cues. The center stack always struck me as pretty plain looking, but ergonomically it’s the best I’ve had. The controls are within very easy reach and the cubbyholes underneath are quite handy. It’s a very comfortable interior, and the NVH suppression is better on the Nautilus. Add that sweet 2.7 and it’s a worthy vehicle, IMHO

Audible Chirps when locking/unlocking doors using handle
Bad tone replied to sdonaghey's topic in 2019 Nautilus
Mine doesn’t chirp either, but that’s my preference so I haven’t investigated getting it to chirp. -
So it turns out, according to the Concierge, that the armrests are indeed black with the Terracotta interior on the Nautilus, and that the 360 view in the build and price tool is a pre-production model which had Terracotta armrests. To make amends for the discrepancy they extended the free oil changes from 1 to 4yr/60K on my vehicle, which I thought was a nice response.

The multifunction displays (phone, audio, nav and settings) are indeed white on black. There are colors used on the temp and fuel gauges, lane assist indication, and on the speedo if you choose the eco indication mode. I quite like it, and with the new steering wheel button setup you can get a lot of info and change settings very easily.
-
I’ll add a note on the Lane Centering; it works very well. Unnoticeable in use, at least in Normal setting. If you get on the lane line it wil steer itself back to center. Great for those times when you want to unscrew the top off a water bottle; on a clear road you don’t need to try to “knee steer”. Otherwise you don’t know it’s there. Well implemented, IMHO.

Thanks! That’s what I thought. I’ll keep an eye out for Terracotta Nautuli and see if mine is “unique”.

I got Terracotta/Ebony interior on the Nautilus and love it, but there is a curiosity. When I used the Build &Price tool the interior view had the seats and door armrests in Terracotta, all else was Ebony. My vehicle was delivered with Ebony armrests, so I’m curious; if anyone has a Terracotta interior on a 2016 or later, what color are your armrests? I’m okay with the black, but am curious if it’s a change, normal or a boo-boo.

Interesting, Interesting, I never knew or found it.

I can't really compare the seats, as I had the 22 ways in the 2016, and opted for the standard 10 ways in the Nautilus. The 22 way seats, while comfortable, always felt a bit odd to me in the way the bolsters fit my frame. I really like the standard 10 way seats and believe I will very happy with, they are quite comfy. I will say that the leather used in the Nautilus has a much smoother feel, or texture, than the 2016 did; I don't know if they changed it or it was just the hides used on the two, but the Nautilus leather feels much more "luxurious".

I finally remembered to try it, and if you have Auto S/S on with Auto Hold off the engine restarts when you release the brake. It only restarts when the accelerator is pressed with Auto Hold on.
-
The auto s/s defaults to off when the transmission is in “S”. If you have AWD with Drive Control you could set S up for your normal use, which is what I did. “D” is set to Comfort which I use on my farm roads, S is set Normal for pavement use. If you want Auto s/s in S you have to hit the button to turn it on.

So I've had my Nautilus for a whopping five days now, and I have to say it is an improvement, albeit minor, over my 2016 MKX. of course my 2016 was an early build so it had MLT instead of Sync3, and it was FWD so it didn't have the adaptive suspension. The Nautilus is a Reserve 2,7 AWD with Driver Assistance. The NVH is greatly improved over the 2016; some of this may be due to the tires which are Continental CrossContact LX on the Nautilus and are very quiet and smooth. Overall the Nautilus is extremely quiet in the cabin and the ride with the adaptive suspension is all I could ask for. The new steering wheel control buttons are much better. The tactile feedback is very good, the 2016 always felt a bit nebulous when raising the cruise speed for example. The new toggles for selecting menu options are great; one control so you can go or down in the menu then push it to select. One control where three buttons were needed before. That with the "glass panel" display make changing settings and getting info leess cumbersome than before, and the information is well presented. The configuration options for the instrument display are limited, but the display itself is good. I like being able to query Siri from the steering wheel, a nice feature. The 8 speed transmission is very smooth, the RPM at cruising is a bit lower, and while it's too early tell definitively it appears that I'll get a 1 or 2 MPG improvement over the 2016. My 2016 had the 19 speaker Revel Ultimate while the Nautilus has the 13 speaker. The 19 speaker was truly awesome, but the 13 is no slouch and is perfectly serviceable, IMHO, and I'm a bit of an audio nut. It may just be the atmospherics for the last few days, but I'm in a fringe FM reception area and the Nautilus is doing much better and pulling in stations. Perhaps they improved the antenna? All in all the new Nautilus is making me a happy camper.
