mkx-wanders
I've never gotten more than 25K on my cars and 35K on utilities. Heat and road conditions play a role in that but low profile tires have less tread generally speaking. I only got 17k and mediocre All Season performance. The Hancook's are quiet enough, but my Falken's are just as quiet and are not expensive.

mkx-wanders
Hydroplaning started tugging at 1/8th-1/4th of an inch tread at 17k. I admit that I am a little harder on tires than the average. That is why I suspect you will get 25-30k ;-)

waltcmusic
Does Black Label service offer free 4 tire replacements during my no-cost 4 year/50,000 miles premium maintanance plan? This info I cannot find, or it's vague by Lincoln specifically.
Cosmos36
With Chicago's high winds, vehicles tend to be somewhat elevated above the pavements...reduces tire wear. akirby

waltcmusic
Yeah, I don't mind buying Hankook tires all the time, which are also sold at Lincoln Black Label dealers, if these are the OEM tires for MKX. Still, I don't understand why it doesn't come with Michellin tires. A base 2018 Ford Escape S I just saw comes with standard Michellin tires. akirby
Ford uses multiple tire mfrs - Continental, Hankook, Pirelli, Michelin, Goodyear, etc. When you make over 2 million cars per year you need a lot of tires (over 8M).

waltcmusic
If anyone test drove a Cadillac XT5 prior to Lincoln MKX purchase, what's your opinion on it? Just saw a new XT5 at Costco store today, and I was surprised to see how perfectly shaped the styling is, inside and out. Of course, I know once you drive the XT5, it isn't as good as MKX. But love the way how XT5 looks, though.
walkabout
I drove it after. I know the engine is pretty powerful but it feels really slow. I though the interior materials were way better than lincoln. Also, CUE sucks.
Cosmos36
The XT5 2017 4years/50k miles complimentary maintenance warranty has been reduced "SLIGHTLY" to 3years/36k miles for 2018 models according to a Car&Driver review. A 25% reduction is slightly? So much for semantics. Timmer
waltcmusic
Cadillac XT5 Platinum AWD starts at $64,390 MSRP, vs. Lincoln MKX Black Label AWD is at $57,650. Who here thinks Cadillac is overcharging? Well, the good news is Lincoln can easily increase Nautilus Black Label's MSRP to $62,000 area. Buy 2018 now is cheaper than 2019. waltcmusic
Only 10 days left before order build week of 06/25/18 starts manufacturing on my MKX order. Adam
It takes about a month to VERY carefully assemble the super-fantastic 3.7L engine. I hear it has to be shipped back to Japan at every stage for inspection so the (somewhat elderly) original Mazda engineers can make sure it's juuuuust right. The 2.7T is thrown together in ten minutes or so by the plant's janitor when he or she is on break, just like the terrible 2.0 Ecoboost.

I found out today that the 2.0 in my 2017 MKZ is "fragile", so this one also had to go over the cliff. Now I have no cars, but at least I don't have to constantly worry about engine failure. Now I have no cars, but at least I don't have to constantly worry about engine failure. Wise decision. Better safe than sorry. I stopped driving my MKX 2.7T completely out of fear, and now only drive my old 2011 MKZ which is blessedly naturally aspirated.
