I was playing around with this build site for some time this evening, and it is clear that it is still somewhat under construction.

 

I got the link from someone who has access to Lincoln's internal site. If you notice, you can get to it by clicking on the link that started this thread or by entering the URL. But go to Lincoln's site and try to find the "build your Nautilus" option. You won't find it that way, or at least I could not.

 

But today is the "Build & Price" milestone date Lincoln had published a few weeks ago (see other thread I started here). My guess is that we managed to get a jump on others through getting this link, but lots of stuff on it either aren't working well (like the 360° panorama feature) or lack pictures to go with the text (like in some of the options) or seem incomplete (like the Ultimate Package referencing a Luxury Package that is otherwise nowhere to be seen, or MPG information seeming to not yet brought up-to-date).

 

Still, pretty interesting.

When I "build" a 2018 Reserve with a 2.7 and awd, i get the same mpg as a 2019 Reserve with 2.7 and awd. Both list 17 city and 24 hwy. My guess is they just used last year estimates since the new 8 speed and 2.7 combo has probably not been tested by the EPA. That said, when I asked earlier on this forum what effect the 8 speed and auto stop might have on mileage, the ones who are qualified to answer said not to expect much more than a mile or so more per gallon.

I was being a dummy.  I just checked again. 

 

The numbers on the 2019 site are unchanged from 2018.  The reason I thought it was 18/25 was because I had set it to FWD.  

I guess the EPA is still being determined.

About 20 degrees. They're supposed to be cooled (using a peltier device for both heating and cooling) but the cooling doesn't work as well as it should with the new design introduced a couple of years ago, so now they just changed the name so they don't get as many complaints.

There was someone, forget which forum it was on, who removed the cover on the back of his seat and reported a much larger airflow in the seatback. Don't remember which car or year, but he figured that the problem was related to the ability of air getting into the seat.

I think it's actually getting the air OUT of the seat that's the issue so that makes sense.   The 3d part was actually an exhaust duct IIRC.

That reminds me, I need to print-up a 90 deg air diverter to point the rear seat floor aircon ducts into the bottom of the front seats.

I believe that was thisguy159 (a really good poster). I think his fix was to unzip the cover on the bottom of the seat.

Yes i bought vacuum hose for 10 bucks had enough there for 2 pieces, and ran them from inside the chair to underneath the chair.  The issue is the fan that blows out the warm air that is supposed to go through the perforated part of the back seat, though it just gets the warm air blown back at it because the holes cannot vent quickly enough.  It is amazing to me that technology soooo old that lincoln has not been able to design a chair ventilation that works, how does this happen????

 

Anyways, i actually made a small adjustment I ran one of the vacuum hoses directly to one of the floor air outlets (it splits so one is still open) and that truly makes a huge impact, my seat get cooled  with in 30 sec (obviously the ac has to be set to blow on the legs) but its truly marvelous now.  Of note when I did this I had some cold temps still outside so I tested the heat both with the foot blower on and off and it does not impact seat performance nor does it make the seat warm if the heat is on but the seat cooler or warmer isn't.  So now I have two pipes going out one to just help with ventilation.  You cannot tell they are in the seat which i like and its a very easy fix though annoying that its needed.  

 

If somebody decides to just unzip the back and leave it open there is enough circulation to solve the problem though you will have it obviously open so depends on how many rear passengers you have.  The leather is thick and has piping zipper running along it so its doesn't flap around but you could pull it up.  You can unzip one side and not both if you want too.

Wish there is built-in vacuum at back in Lincoln Nautilus like Honda Odyssey.

 

Nah...Just get a little 12V vac for emergency cleanings.  The 12V auto sockets cover all of the interior.

Yes if you will put it in to the hvac vent under the seat. If you plan on only venting.go with inch.

 

Ideally it would be nice to put something.over the vent so that it is sealed against the hose and it pushes air out through pipe. Otherwise it's just pressure doing the work.

Thanks.  I was thinking about 3D printing up a vent diverter for that vent and pointing it at the seat Peltier unit, but I would really like to get the seatback Peltier unit going, like in your setup.  Two hoses per seat, one for hvac in and one for exhaust out?

After going through the Build and Price and selecting all the options I have on my 16 except for the roof rails, the Price comes out less that $200 more than my 16 MSRP.  I will have to see it in person, and the wheels before making any decision.

I haven't done a close compare, but it looks like more tech features are now standard. The options packages are quite different.

Ugh, they make 21" wheels standard on Black Label. That should negativity affect the smoothness of the ride. If one is doing a factory order, though, it should be possible to "downgrade."

Agree, and these are low profile tires which do not make it with pot holes due ice heaves and granite curb. Great in flatlands of California. Also the tires are not all-season we need but V great summer. Hope dealers smart enough to tell factory they have a bo-boo!
