elijahbird7
We have had fairly warm weather here lately, so I haven't used the App to remote start my car in a few weeks. Today, I just opened the App to see if there were any notices on it. Under "My Vehicle" was an Orange line, saying Important Notice... (Not in the Notification area). "FSA TITLE, Remote Transceiver Module Reprogramming" Field Service Action Number 17B01 Anyone know what this actually means? It just says to contact dealer to see if my car qualifies for this reprogramming based on Vin number. Anyone else get this? mfam16
walkabout
Yup. I have it too.
punch-card
Sort of sounds like to me, that they found a hackable point in the modem.... Or maybe it is needed to do the Over the Air Updates? But I got it also
akirby
There were some issues with connectivity requiring a modem reset - probably just bug fixes which could include security.
mfam16
I have same msg. If anyone gets more info, please share.
mfam16
Update: Haven't had time to go by the dealer, but one interesting thing is that the msg only shows up for my vehicle but not my wife's.
elijahbird7
Must be for a range of manufacture dates. Will probably be about 2 weeks before I can make it to the dealer. So if anyone gets in before then, let us know what it was about and how long it takes to fix it.
NOTMY911
Got it too... Going in next month for the next maintenance schedule so we'll see what they do. Last time I had to tell them that there was a recall on the Throttle Body Module...
NOTMY911
Just a thought, this "coincidently" happened after my up-date to Ver 2.2 which was successful.
shoeguy
Just had my 16 MKX in for the sync update to 2.2 and the transceiver module reprogramed. My Lincoln way app will now work again to start the car etc. It did not update the update on my app for tire pressure or oil. Is there a way to update the Lincoln app for this. Thx Shoe
elijahbird7
I turn my android phone off at night, and when I restart it in the morning, it usually has some Apps to update, and that's when the Lincoln App was in that list on January 24th. mfam16
I just took my X in to have issue "fixed". I'll update on what the issue was.
mfam16
Seems like the module was functioning well. It just needed to be reprogrammed. Service was very busy today but it took a little over 1.5 hrs. Update: app still shows msg about module. I figured once Lincoln fixed issue the msg would go away, however, for now it's still there Edited January 31, 2017 by mfam16
Ruby
Haven't had the update done yet but dealer says that it is related to the tire pressure monitoring system.
elijahbird7
Went to my Lincoln Dealer this morning for the update....but, he said the Ford site where they get the uplates has been down since Monday. He checked it again, and it still wasn't functioning. He scheduled me for Monday morning, hoping it will be resolved by then.
elijahbird7
Just back from the Lincoln dealer to have the uplate to the Remote Transceiver Module done. I also told him about the "Check Headlight System" notic I have had about 5 times since purchase. The service manager said the transceiver update was because some people were receiving notices that a tire was low when it wasn't. In and out in a little less than an hour and a half, with the car washed, and the complete service check.
akirby
Was anything done about the check headlamp message?
elijahbird7
Yes, it was also a software module update, and they had to clear the two notifications I had about 12 days ago.
elijahbird7
Here is exactly what the service receipt says about the "Check Headlight System" notification.."IDS TEST CODES B1087 B1088 IN HCM, PER SSM# 45983 REPROGRAM HCM". elijahbird7
I checked the Lincoln Way App this morning, and under My Vehicle, the orange notice for the software update was already gone.
rasfl31
Here is exactly what the service receipt says about the "Check Headlight System" notification.."IDS TEST CODES B1087 B1088 IN HCM, PER SSM# 45983 REPROGRAM HCM". They've done this update/reprogramming for my vehicle a few times and the issue always ends up coming back. Let us know if that reprogramming/update works for you please! Cosmos36
I received notice by mail dated simply February 2017 re: CSP 17B01 relating to a low tire pressure warning indicator illuminating in the instrument cluster as a result of a software issue in the Remote Transceiver Module (RTM). My MKX is an early build (September 2015) with a XXX35270 VIN. I have experienced two previous warnings of low tire pressure, but when checking the 'errant' tire it was found to be OK. In 16 months of ownership this CSP will be my 1st occurrence of required dealer service.
elijahbird7
I also got that letter by mail, exactly one day after I had the update done.
punch-card
Got the letter, no issues yet
