Auto Hold display

When I turn on the Auto Hold function and it becomes active, such as at a stop light, the Auto Hold message which appears in green lettering in the lower left-side of the dashboard display is cutoff along the bottom edge of the letters. Does anyone else have this problem? My dealer is telling me that this is a programming issue and that all 2016 MKX Reserves are the same.

Please see attached file for illustration.

Welcome to the forum, Ruby.

The partial Hold Function instrument panel light appears on my Select model also. While a bit disconcerting at first, it's not going to be an issue that concerns me. I suspect the light performs the same on all 2016 MKXs.

What engine did you purchase?

I've observed this as well and think it may be a matter of a masking bezel inside the display. On mine, if I lean in a bit or raise my head I can see the whole green message, sort of like peeking over the top of the wall.

I'll add the caveat that I should have noted earlier in post #2 above (before the wife started calling for help in the kitchen): in practice, whether I have a full green light or a partial green light depends on which display mode I have selected. Some displays on my Select appear to crowd the area where the Auto Hold light is located and only a partial (upper half) green light is visible. My Select is a fall 2015 build...I'll inquire of the dealer if the issue can be corrected.

Edit: Agree with ferrara post above...same with my MKX.

I have the 2.7 L and find it to be very reliable and fun to drive.

Thanks to all who have replied. As I mentioned earlier, the dealer has contacted Ford regarding the problem so I'll be in wait mode until I hear back regarding a fix.

Depending at what angle the pic is taken the light will show various levels of being blocked. I'm sure if you look straight at you will be able to view it fully. The only programing issue is that t he light should just be moved a couple of mm up.

What can I say, great minds think alike :)

This afternoon I noticed that mine seemed to be cut off also, then I though, I am a big guy with the seat all the way back, bet it was the angle. So as you see in the two shots, mine was nothing more than the angle of then view.

Thanks Mike...great detective work with the evidence portrayed. Same as I experience with the Select-Plus.

It's not worrisome to me...a glance at the green showing is good enough. It has become automatic to simply stop & give the brake a nudge to insure activation. I really don't need the light to confirm.
