When I first looked at it, I didn't think it was all that bad. But there were several above the side windows as it curves into the top and even the bright trim around the windows. When I took it in for an estimate, he has several light stands that are on wheels, and he moves them around the car. That's when you see all the dings. He circles each one with a yellow chalk marker. I think the hood had about 30 dings, not really a greater number than any other area. There were also dings all down the passenger side and some on the rear hatch. I have known this guy for over 10 years, and he is great and top notch. I met him when I bought my Wedgewood Blue 79 Mark V "survivor car". It had a few door dings, and I called several of the Paintless Dent Repair guys, and he was the only one who would work on a classic car with original paint. She still has only 17,775 original miles. I think he takes the hoods off the cars, since when I stopped by when the 18 Mustang was there, the hood was on a stand and being worked on.

We had a major hail storm in NE Illinois the first week of May. I keep 3 cars in my driveway for the summer months, and have covers on them. The 2016 MKX had estimated damage of $6,969.54. My '18 Mustang GT Convertible, and '09 Solstice were both in the mid-$3,000 range. Luckily I know a Paintless Dent Removal expert that did all 3 cars, and they are home now and all look perfect. When I picked up my MKX Wednesday, he told me he wanted to show me that on the passenger front door, where the lower plastic cladding goes just below that chrome stripe, that the cladding was starting to move away from the door, and you can push the top in and out about 1/4". Stopped at my Lincoln Dealer today, and the Service Manager agreed that something was not right. Fortunately, the owner of the body shop used by my dealer just happened to walk in, so he looked it over and said I could bring it to his shop next week. He wasn't sure if that piece is held in place by clips or double-sided tape. He said it would not take long to fix though, so I will find out soon. And the dealer had about 12 2019 MKC's on the lot, so got a good look at the new front ends.

Also, the MKC has two engine options, 2.0L standard with 245 HP, or the optional 2.3L with 285 HP.

I noticed that the 2019 MKC with the new front is now on dealer lots. It will give you a first thought of how the Nautilus will look, but on a smaller scale. I know this is going to be a love it or hate it issue.

About the 2.7L. My '16 turned 2 years old the first week of April, with slightly over 10,000 miles. I agree that this engine really makes this vehicle fun to drive, and it definitely would be my choice again unless they offer the 3.0L at some point.

Just saw it on mine yesterday as it was disappearing, didn't even see it long enough to read the whole thing...

I received a postcard yesterday from Lincoln asking me to complete a "Survey" about my recent Roadside Assistance experience. Well, I have never ever used Roadside Assistance. So, I emailed them asking why my name was associated with this survey and if my previous MKX was involved. I told them I traded in my 2014 MKX for my 2016 MKX over two years ago. Their reply was "sorry, due to your recent change of automoble." "Recent" my ass!

Today, I traded in my 2012 Mustang GT convertible on a 2018 GT convertible. The car was on the showroom floor, and while I was looking it over, I asked the salesman to check the Sync 3 system to see if it was version 2.3 or 3.0. He verified 3.0, so I knew,exactly what would happen. After we did all the paperwork, they pulled it outside, and when I was getting ready to leave, as soon as I started it, that notification showed up about the WI-FI Update. ..at least I knew how to turn off the WI-FI, and the "Automatically Check for Updates by WI-FI". I had told the salesman about that situation on my MKX, and he was glad I could show him what I was talking about! 460 HP, 10 Speed Automatic, Lightning Blue. Still crappy spring weather here in Illinois, oh well.

My Lincoln only dealer does not even use the MKC as loaners. When I had that issue last summer with the alarm going off for no reason, I had to take it back 4 times. They always had an MKX loaner ready to go until I asked to drive other models. I ended up with a Continental, MKZ 400 hp, and asked if they could give me an MKC, since I had never driven one, and No, they don't use those...so MKX twice, Continental once, and MKZ once. Very good service at this dealer, Libertyville Lincoln. I will definitely check out the Nautilus, but if they don't offer polished aluminum wheels, and just those gray coated ones, nope...

Songs start in the 50's through modern music. Very short songs in the 50's and 60's though, so 32gb is likely correct, since I copied songs from my computer several years ago to the USB, I don't really remember the size.

Also, I had sent a 2nd email to the Service Manager at my Lincoln Dealer about 8:30 last night after I had solved the issue. At 7:15 this morning he replied and was very happy to know about this, since many times they do these updates for customers and now he knows what to do about it. Very good service at this Lincoln Only Dealer.

Just took the car out for an errand, and no Wi-Fi Notification at all. So turning off the Auto Check for Updates solved the problem, and now, it is staying with my USB as a music source, so all is well after a frustarting 2 days with that update.

I think I may have solved the pop up WI-Fi notification . I had turned off the Wi-Fi system, but realized I still had the Automatic Check for Software Updates still engaged. When I first tried to turn that off, by sliding to the left, it would automatically slide back to the right. After a few tries, it finally turned off, and when I start it now, no notification so far..!

Started the car again after turning off Wi-Fi about an hour ago, and the notification still pops up, and I don't have a home Wi-Fi system, only Jet Pack I use when I turn on my computer.

I also just tried turning off the Wi-Fi system. Then, I started the car 3 times, after opening the door and closing it, waiting for the interior lights to shut down, and that Wi-Fi notification still popped up everytime I started the car.

One other change I just noticed. I have a USB drive with about 900 songs on it I use as my "Source" of music. Version 2.3 always kept that as the source. Just went out to Culver's. When I started the car, it went directly to FM instead of the USB source, so I guess now I will have to change that everytime I start the car as well...thanks Lincoln

I just took a photo of that Wi-Fi message and sent an email to the service manager at my Lincoln Dealer, asked him to forward it to their Sync3 expert, saying, I doubt if there is anyway to block this damn thing from popping up, and if it went away after a minute, it wouldn't bother me that much, but at least have your SYNC expert communicate with Lincoln to let them know how annoying this is...

The only new thing I noticed so far is on the Homescreen, you now have a Steering Wheel Heat symbol to use without going into the Climate screen...

My issue is that now everytime I start the car, that stupid notification about Sync software updates by Wi-Fi pops up and blocks the screen, and you have to touch "Close" everytime you drive the car! Sure hope someone figures out a way to stop this from happening. This is just a stupid move Lincoln!

And yes that notification that updates can be by Wi-Fi is really going to drive me freakin nuts!!!#### What the hell were those software junkies thinking?

One other thing I noticed that was different this time was other updates always seemed to start as soon as the USB was put in place. This one seemed to take at least 5 minutes before the "Updating system" appeared at the top of the screen.

The .XML did appear on my USB, and after trying to figure out how to open it in the right place, it did work and I immediately got an email stating they had received it.

I did this update today with a USB download from my computer. I tried scanning for update by Wi-Fi, but it said "no updates available". Anyway,what changes should I be looking for on the system?

When there was a loose screw found in my driver's side headlight unit at around 1500 miles, they had to remove the front bumper to replace that unit. The Service Manager said it was a $2800 cost to Lincoln.

Maybe it will just be on the Black Label. That would be fine, since I wouldn't buy that model anyway.
