I haven't driven the MKX in two days, so when I drove it today, I turned on the Wi-Fi hotspot on my phone. It previously said last checked for updates 3/1/17. It now says last checked for updates 3/9/17, but nothing updated..Still says version 1.0. So I guess the question is, has anyone had the update happen with a Wi-Fi connection???

Sounds way to complicated for me! I'll just wait until the Wi-Fi actually works for me.

I have tried that, and nothing changed. It still says last checked for updates 3/1/17. I linked it to my phone wi-fi hot spot 4 times today...still no updates indicated.

Just got back from lunch, hooked up the Wi-Fi hot spot on my phone, and nothing..it just says, "Last checked 3/01/17.

I just went online to the Support site, and it lists the Sync3 2.2 upgrade available. I could download it to a flash drive, but I'd rather try the Wi-Fi route when I go out later and see if it will do anything. The site seems to indicate the download should have been available on Wi-Fi this week, and I did use the connection yesterday, and nothing happened. Maybe today it will???

I do not have that "Scan for upates now" on my screen either.

Another question. When I turn on my Wi-Fi hotspot on my phone, and start the car. It links and shows the little icon in the right hand upper corner of the Sync3 screen, next to the phone icon. If I put it in gear and start moving, that Wi-Fi icon goes away. If I stop the car at a light or stop sign, the icon reappears again until I start going again. So, is it only connected to Wi-Fi when sitting still and not working at all while you drive the car?

I wouldn't think this will happen quickly. I have a 2012 Mustang GT convertible. It will be 2 years in June that I got my first letter about the driver's airbag needing replacement. This is the one that can send pieces flying at you, and has caused deaths. The first letter said I would get a 2nd letter as soon as replacements were available at dealers. The 2nd letter came last spring. I went to my dealer to ask when I could schedule the replacement. They said they only had the airbags for 2010 and earlier Mustangs. I got a little rude at that point saying that I think it looks like they don't care if my airbag explodes and kills me! They said it wasn't their fault that Takata was taking so long to make the replacements. I went back in to ask this past October if the replacements were available, since I store all of my convertibles over the winter and would like to have it done before the end of October. They said they expected that year replacement sometime in January. Mid February I got a notice to bring my car in, so in a few weeks I will pull it out of storage and finally get the replacement done...just shy of 2 years!

This car will have been back to the dealer for non oil change issues more than any of the last 10 Ford/Lincoln vehicles I have owned! I think I will eventually name it Christine...

Same here, every week or so, I turn on the wifi hotpot on my phone. It connects, but nothing happens. It will say when it last checked for updates, but don't see an option to force it to check. Now it says last checked on March 1, 2017. When I check software version, it still says 1.0

I only connect the car to the wi-fi hot spot on my phone every few weeks, just to see if any updates are available. I did not connect it the day this happened. I always have music on a flash drive as my source, and I always leave that in place in the USB port. It has about 900 songs on it. It was playing on my way to lunch. But on the way home, it wasn't, and I didn’t immediately notice it. I've driven it at least 5 times since, and it is working fine now..

Must have been it. Let it sit for about an hour, got in and hit the Acc, and music started playing. It seemed like before when it was updating, there was a message on the screen, and it isn't set to anything but the drive I have in the USB port...weird, but no trip to the Lincoln Dealer Monday I guess.

Went to lunch today, and on the way home, I noticed there was no music playin after I had gone a mile or so..homescreen showed Audio Off just above my phone information. I pushed the Audio button on the center of the volume control several times, and nothing. I thought, oh well when I get home, it will probably go back on if I restart the car. Nope, nothing is turning it back on, so I guess another trip to the dealer on Monday. Fuse maybe?

I got my weathertech front set yesterday. They fit well, and I didn't find any issue with installing them, just slide the seat back all the way.

I also got that letter by mail, exactly one day after I had the update done.

I just ordered a set of front Weathertech floor liners yesterday. Used my Samsung phone, went to their website. Price was $109+. Weird thing was when putting in my phone number, no many how times I entered it, it changed to a completely different number. After fooling around with it several times, I eventually entered my phone number after the one that kept coming up, and then kept deleting one number at a time from the wrong number, but for each number the delete position kept moving, and you have to move it several times..Finally got it correct...crazy

I checked the Lincoln Way App this morning, and under My Vehicle, the orange notice for the software update was already gone.

Here is exactly what the service receipt says about the "Check Headlight System" notification.."IDS TEST CODES B1087 B1088 IN HCM, PER SSM# 45983 REPROGRAM HCM".

I bought mine the first week of April 2016. At that time there was a $1500 rebate. I was totally surprised when the dealer came up with another $1000 rebate that was not listed anywhere. It had something to do with trading in a Lincoln that had My Lincoln Touch for one with Sync 3. The dealers around here don't go below invoice, but this one near Indianapolis gave a price that went way lower. The MSRP was just over $60,000, and with rebates and their discount, they took slightly over $7600 off MSRP. I got the price quoted when I clicked on " Get Internet Price". I got that number about 8:30 at night...at 4 am, I fired up my 14 MKX and off I went..They even gave me $1500 more on the trade than KBB had listed, but it only had a little over 10,500 miles on it. Obviously, I was thrilled with that transaction v/s what I could have gotten locally.

Yes, it was also a software module update, and they had to clear the two notifications I had about 12 days ago.

Just back from the Lincoln dealer to have the uplate to the Remote Transceiver Module done. I also told him about the "Check Headlight System" notic I have had about 5 times since purchase. The service manager said the transceiver update was because some people were receiving notices that a tire was low when it wasn't. In and out in a little less than an hour and a half, with the car washed, and the complete service check.

About 6 weeks ago, where I usually have my Trip 1 in the center of the Tachometer, I switched that to the image of the car from above with the tire pressure showing the psa in each individual tire. Later I switched it back to Trip 1. Last week I had to take a trip to Iowa from Illinois, and wanted to pull up that tire pressure image again, and trying it over and over again, I can no longer find it. Looked in the manual, and it did show a picture of it, but didn't describe how to get there. So, I was wondering if losing it has anything to do with the last My Lincoln App update? I'm scheduled to have the Remote Transceiver Module Reprogramming done Monday morning, and curious if it would bring it back?

There seems to be a little confusion about the two packages earlier in this discussion. Cargo Accessory Pkg has only 2 things: Rubber Cargo Mat and Rear Bumper Anti-Scatch cover. Cargo Utility Package has these things: Lift gate Scuff Plate, Cargo Net and Chrome tie down hooks, Molded Plastic Storage Bin and Spare Tire Vanity Cover under cargo floor, Cargo Compartment Reversible Mat, Power converter 110V Outlet in rear of center console, and Interior Cargo Retractable Cover. Mine has both Packages.
