scheweja
I'm having difficulty trying to get the Lincoln + Alexa app to show up on my Mobile apps. I'm on a Sync 3 system with version 3 software installed. I have a Android phone and it does recognize my Iheart radio app and my Pandora app. I spent some time on the phone with Lincoln support with no luck. Anyone else try this app? thisguy159
no issue here, are you sure the apps are enabled from settings screen? What cellphone do you have? My only issue is that the apps show up but if i don't use them after sometime the icon disappears not sure if BT just goes to sleep in some form or fashion happed with 3 different phones now. I use AA which works great not everybody seems to like AA or CP but in my opinion its really the way to go.
walkabout
I totally agree with ThisGuy. AA is great. Just stick with the twelve steps and you'll be sober in no time. Seriously, I use android auto all the time, mostly because Google maps is so good. I do prefer the graphics on the Ford nav system though. MKXMark
I have Android and Sync 3 and the mobile apps show up very sporadically. If I launch the app from the phone then it shows up. Touching the "find mobile apps" button doesn't work. On a related note, Waze was supposed to be added to the app list in March but it's not there yet. akirby
What does having alexa in the car do? What is it useful for? I haven’t been able to find anything really useful for me. You can use Alexa to find a destination and send it to the built in Nav. Which, of course, you can also do with sync 3 nav. You can access Echo calendars and shopping lists, etc. with voice control. It’s basically like having an Echo in the car. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Sh-WGZqMbnw
thisguy159
Ford voice control sucks if somebody is really against aa or cp this is a pretty big update. Along with Waze Ford is doing and admirable job of keeping people within their environment. It's actually impressive. akirby
Voice control works for me 95% of the time - maybe more.
Fastfwd75
I could use voice control for heated steering. Does not seem to exist. Also waiting on that waze

NOTMY911
I could use voice control for heated steering... Fat chance. Ford could only figure out how to change the temperature... Dont forget to say "Climate" first if not it does not work!!! Just like home, honey can you put the thermostat to "Climate" 75 degrees... Applink Waze has been available for a couple of weeks. There is a good write up over at the fordedgeforum.com.

Dammit I have been reading the release notes on every waze update since january and nothing mentions applink!

Fastfwd75
OK so I tried that in my driveway and it works as long as I disable carplay first which I knew I had to do. I wish there was a simple yes/no prompt or quick menu button to choose to go into carplay or not. I will try it on a drive but I was very underwhelmed with how the interface to enter a destination looked vs apple maps. But it is such a better nav and traffic application that it may be worth it. MKXMark
Just tried it and it doesn't come up as a Sync app. I have the latest versions of Waze and Sync 3. Connected via USB and launched Waze from the phone. Also it's not mentioned on the Lincoln Owner site. Edited May 4, 2018 by MKXMark

Try starting waze before connecting the phone. There are good instructions in the fordedgeforum link above.

akirby
Android Galaxy S7. Waze applink only works on IOS. You can use Waze with AA (and have been for quite some time I think).
