Rural_OC_MKX Posted November 7, 2017 Report Share Posted November 7, 2017 Has anyone seen this in the left display area: Key Battery low Replace soon This message happened to all 3 key fobs within a matter of a few days. Either Lincoln has synchronized key fob battery discharge or there is something odd going on with the MKX. Rural_OC_MKX Posted November 9, 2017 Author Report Share Posted November 9, 2017 All three FOBs are acting normally. All of the normal responses occur as you approach the vehicle. It unlocks and starts all in the normal way. The odd part is all 3 happening at the same time. Have a 2016 with 12k and replaced the batteries twice and the last (3rd) time the dealer supposedly reprogrammed something and replaced the batteries. That lasted 4 months then the message started again. Took the batteries out rubbed them and problem solved (for at least the last 4 days). Think this will be an ongoing issue. How close to the vehicle are you storing the fob when you're not driving the vehicle? I'm guessing the fob is a transceiver since the little red light turns green to indicate a successful remote start. As someone who rarely drives their MKX I have to wonder whether the fob has some sort of sleep mode if it's not used in a while to save battery life.
