We go to the Haliburton Highlands in north Ontario for this type of site, and never like that even at its best. Pics never do justice ro mother nature. 'Back in the day' (pre-internet) I tried repeatedly to arrive at ideal fall colorations at several popular locales in the NE US quadrant. My timing was always off (too early) or summer drought conditions ruined leaf coloration determinants (leaves just turned brown and dropped). Hope you have better luck post-internet.
