Cosmos36
On the Oregon-Washington beaches, we luv the rain 'cause it's high pH, i.e. closer to neutral & less detrimental on our vehicle's wax jobs. LOL
walkabout
Yes, this is the $2,250 option (driver assistance package) found in 2018 MKX, which includes pedestrian detection and automatic braking. This feature is now standard in all 2019 Nautilus, but adaptive cruise still remains optional. The issue I was raising had to do with the type of AEB. Many of the earlier systems could not work when the vehicle was moving at higher speeds. At least according to CR, the mkx had the more modern generation but I really can't say if that is correct. walkabout
Anything wrong with leatherette or vinyl? I notice some people aren't happy to hear that BMW and Mercedes-Benz come with leatherette seating standard. The leatherette in the BMW 3 series is terrible. It smells awful when the car is in the sun and feels claimy. The stuff in the MB is better but still feels more sticky than real hide. Leatherette is a fancy way of saying textured vinyl. It's just a cost saving move by the manufacturer. waltcmusic

walkabout
I am a vegetarian. I have been one for 35 years. I sit in seats. I don't eat them.

akirby
I'm referring to MKX, not Nautilus, actually. MKXMark in post #261 wrote, "MKX now has standard emergency braking and all that? The 2017s didn't." He thinks 2018 MKX comes with standard emergency braking, so I corrected him. He didn't write Nautilus, which comes standard now. Post # 268 is moderator's reply error. I wrote MKX referring to 2018 model year. Considering this is a 2019 topic and 2019 production starts in 2 months it was a reasonable conclusion that the OP was asking about the new Nautilus not the MKX. I’m sure many people will keep calling it MKX for the next several months/years.
Cosmos36
When the acres of 2019s soon begin to congregate at Portland for export, will it be considered elitist to call the assembled vehicles nautili?
walkabout
Is that a flock of Nautili, a heard, or a pride?

Matthias
It is sad to say, that a group of Nautilus vehicles would not get presents from Santa. Edited July 7, 2018 by Matthias
