    2019 Lincoln Nautilus

Akirby is correct. Ones at the plant must be turned off each time. My guy said it cycles with the ignition like the hold option. Only time it does not stop/start is when sensors detect engine issues that may lead to stop/start failure and cause unsafe situations. Production date 2019 Nautilus job 1 confirmed July 10/18 based upon no interruptions to fill 2018 DSOs He guesses the first month should see 1000/1050 Nautilus and Edge combined Still no details as to exact production models and options. He is still waiting for build sheet. Ford has yet to finalize the real thing. There will be more electronic scanning and camera imaging equipment installed to increase QC. He said now that the vehicle is in mid cycle the line is like a fine tuned orchestra and QC is optimal. The 19 will be the same as the changes to the build are minimal. The fit dept is preying that someone does not locate any badge in the door/fender area.

    Will do
  4. That option is in the control module and set by the factory depending upon final destination country. Anyone with a Ford scan tool can switch that code. Here in Canada it is the law that DRLs remain on continually even at night when headlights are on.

Can't update from plant on anything yet. My guy said there could still be minor changes for the actual production model and is waiting for build docs. He said the ones at the plant are the same as the shows and won't speculate on anything for final build. I asked about start/stop he said it can be turned off on the ones they have there but again until the build sheets arrive he is not certain.

Cont'd....There are changes to the suspension. He didn't have the details yet but did say engineering notes said that the new 8 speed transmission along with a better driving experience has resulted in the need to modify the suspension to improve handling. A while back he was told there would be an option to adjust height. Not sure about that yet. LCD Instrument cluster has more options incl digital functions. Auto start/stop. Optional 2L engine. He said most at the plant incl. engineers are a little confused at his power plant option but think it might have originated from export models. 2.7L still shown as avail. Marker reflectors above front wheel wells will light up and may flash at turns. LED rear tail light re-configured with straight line across deck and separate turn signals. Entire lens is tinted smoke. He said most of the wiring and hardware for HUD has been avail in the MKX but only used for the collision warning. He thinks Lincoln may have wanted Continental to have it first. I'm not to sure about that. He promised he would get back to me next week when actually gets into and under the Nautilus to see whats changed. He said there will most likely be more changes before the first one rolls down the line. He hopes the badge is one!!

    2019 Lincoln Nautilus

Well...spent Xmas eve with my bud and learned that they have established 5 launch teams already. They are dedicated to the new 2019 and go thru every detail so the new transition won't be plagued with confusion as was in 2015-16. He said the 19 will start production earlier that normal. He said China is taking a huge chunk of production. There are a few 19s at the plant now and managed to pry some info from him before he got into the xmas cheer. Most dislike the new badge and it's location. My friend must have repeated that sentiment five times. He pointed out that fitting the doors requires fine adjustments and finesse. You can't force anything. He said unlike the continental the body line of the Nautilus is unforgiving. He said when they adjust the door that badge will not line up and you can't move the badge. So they are currently working that out. He said some of the new BL interior fabrics are incredible and very luxurious. He said the pressure is on because he has been told that 50K are destined for China asap. I was amazed at the numbers already shipped there since 2016. Apparently the Chinese are falling in love with Lincoln. He said QC has changed. Along with existing station inspectors and final inspection there will an additional dept with white glove inspection at the plant. Export to China will have another inspection at export ports and the last is the dealer. This is all due to customer complaints regarding fits and finishes and he said the Chinese are even more particular. Note: My buddy is actually purchasing a 2019 for himself. He is trying to find out about engine options, HUD, and any other changes not confirmed that might be in the works before he puts his vehicle in production. There is more to say but I have to get out of here. I'll post again tomorrow.

All I have from the plant is: LED headlights are on all models. No longer an option. Rumors that center stack is receiving material change (not design change) 22 seats a little wider not in size but rather in bolster design. Re config seating tracks and location to allow rear seat flat fold Additional sound deadening in rear quarters and hatch also rear glass Rear turn signals Re design of antenna located in raised portion of rear roof neat hatch (orig design 2016 to eliminate shark fin LED DRLs in orig. plan were light pipe design change now to dot matrix to enhance sequential light up Rumors are still abound regarding 3LTT as TBD as option with Reserve or BL

The Nautilus Name and changes explained

It seems that the BL will have 400HP avail later in 2019. Nothing about HUD yet. Nautilus & BL have seat changes. In order to fulfill an issue with buyers that the seats are too narrow for some drivers they widened the back and seat NOT in size but rather modifying the side bolsters (bags) that wrap you into the seats. When inflated they are slim and less rounded. I probably sound confusing so here is what I was told. The seats are the same size as existing. The difference is the configuration. Rather than a more rounded side bolster, the new seats offer a slimmer and a more forward looking "wrap around" thus opening a wider seat and back. Front seat tracks are changing to gain height and offer more rear foot room. Rear deck light has darkened exterior lens and the light itself illuminates in a different config. He said the 19s will be super quiet. Changes to body fill and rear glass make that happen. Forward looking radar concealed in lower air dam. Improvements to electric steering and feel of the brake pedal. Something is happening to the suspension but nothing he can report. Now that there are some vehicles on display we can confirm some other items. Strangely, my friend says there are no engineering drawings with that Nautilus badge door /fender.

Cosmos may be right. My friend just called and found some of the option codes for 2019 MKX BL 3TT TBDAO In his words he is of the belief that Lincoln is trying to decide whether to option out the 3TT for one or both. He says it would be logical to make it avail on both since BL does not produce enough vehicles for Lincoln to capitalize on the cash option for that engine. He said he will have some other info as he receives it. I asked him to take a photo of anything relating to the 19 MKX Drawings or prototypes whatever.

Received a call today from my bud. He has a 2019 production sheet listing some of the option codes for Edge and MKX. He said one item in question is an option code for a 3LTT 400HP engine MKX TBDAO "To be determined as option". He will check out further. Nice!!!

Interesting links...Auto landscape is changing so quickly the only way to know for sure where a vehicle is built is to look at the door jamb.
