elijahbird7
Sent an email today around noon to my Lincoln Service manager explaining how odd my 2nd to 3rd gear shift was and that it felt like it was slipping and RPM was going from 1500 to 2500 during that shifting situation. I asked him if he thought the TSB 19-2313 would do anything to stop that issue. He called me in about 10 minutes and said the description of the software update did not mention that issue, but it might be worth a try to have the update done, and I could drive right down and they had time to update it. Well, good news on the way home every gear shifted smoother, and the 2nd to 3rd gear shift now only has the RPM going from 1500 to 1900, and no slipping feeling at all. So, any issues are likely worth trying this update.

PeaceNPray
This TSB appeared to fix my slipping gears from 2nd to 3rd as well!
elijahbird7
I sent the Service manager an email after I got home and that all was working well. He replied that he thought there was less than a 50% chance that it would have solved my problem. But at least now anyone with a transmission problem will get that software update. Only issue I had on the way home was that whatever they did unhooked my phone from Sync3 connection. I fooled around with that for about a half hour when I got home to finally get it to connect again. Sync3 just kept spinning that arrow around looking for the phone, but it finally worked after about 5 times of trying to link it...
LVSteve
We had the TSB done at 6500 miles . It helped at first. Now car is back at dealer with 7300 mile. Trans was slipping and has shift concerns after driving 45 mins at Hwy speeds . Jerking up hills and had problem holding speeds up hill... slipping bad ! Car is now at dealer on 4th visit. Trans is out and full of metal in pan. Rick65inlosangeles
Steve, do you mine me asking what the last five digits of your VIN are? Mine ends in 50392 and was built on June 18th and delivered on July 5th. Current mileage is 4500 and I've experienced a few skip shifts and several harsh shifts but no slipping so far. Thanks in advance.
