PDX97229
I am not sure this is specific to our year but we just have a 2016. As you know, we have 3 seat memories. They were OK, but all of a sudden Memory 1 moves the seat forward all the way so there little clearance to the wheel. Memory 2 and 3 are OK and we can go back and forth. If we press 1 again, it does respond with most of the correct settings, but does not remember the forward seat setting. The other 2 work OK and this just seems strange. We have positioned the seat correctly and pressed 1 again to re save it, but the same thing happens if we go to 2 or 3 and then back to 1. Any ideas? akirby
Try running the seat manually all the way forward then all the way back to recalibrate. May or may not help.
enigma-2
I read on a different forum where early models 2016 models (Fusion) have to have the seat module reprogrammed to make them operate correctly. Same problem your having. . Edited April 2, 2018 by enigma-
Cosmos36
I encountered the same issue with Memory One on one occasion when starting the car...for no apparent reason I was nearly crushed (literally) between the seat & steering wheel when the feature activated unexpectedly. As the only driver, I simply programmed all 3 switch options to the same desired position and called it a day. Damned technology! And some folks look forward to driverless vehicles. No thanks.
