Simpson
The available update link just took me back to the page with the other screenshot. I am on wifi with a good signal did a hard reset and flipped auto update on and off a few times to see if something happened. I got bored and flashed the 2.2 update from SyncForums. I'll check to see if I get the gold release soon and post back.
NOTMY911
... I got bored and flashed the 2.2 update from SyncForums. mfam16
2.2 is the official version that is available from Ford so you should be OK. I agree. There are speculations that the "unofficial release" and 2.26 were beta. However, the "unofficial" release is the exact same build number as the one on Lincoln's site. You will be fine as that is the version I've been running for a while now without any issues
Jeff909
Still no update from my dealer on the hub, but I'm going to call 1-2 other dealers in the area and see if they have any insight on part number, pricing, etc. Please post if anyone confirms info on the hub
walkabout
It must be a staggered release or something, this is what I see there. That's exactly what you should see until you do the update and register. That's the message that was recorded in your account when the system was initialized. You won't see the updated message until you do the install. You just need to scroll down for the download info.

greyfox47
I have a 2017 and Sync tells me I have version 2.0 and owner.lincoln.com says I'm up to date. Are the version numbers unique to model year?
walkabout
The latest version for all model years is 2.0.
akirby
Not true - 2.2 is officially available now - at least for my 2016. It says it was updated via wi-fi 2 days ago but I haven't checked it yet to verify.
NOTMY911
I updated in January via Ford website.
walkabout
Sorry, to be clear, 2.2 is the latest version for everybody not 2.26. I'm not sure if the "about" dialog in the car makes a distinction between 2.0 and 2.2 though (in my office and can't check now).
akirby
Well owner.lincoln.com says I was updated automatically to 2.2 but the vehicle still says 1.0. Maybe I need to force a reboot.
NOTMY911
Well owner.lincoln.com says I was updated automatically to 2.2 but the vehicle still says 1.0. Maybe I need to force a reboot. Mine said 1.0 until I check for up-date via wifi. It took a while but it finally show 2.2 without doing a reboot.
akirby
How do you make it check for an update? I couldn't find that option.
NOTMY911
How do you make it check for an update? I couldn't find that option. Maybe I had the reverse problem... But give it a shot anyway, via Wifi ==> Setting ==> Auto Update ==> Check for Update
elijahbird7
Same here, every week or so, I turn on the wifi hotpot on my phone. It connects, but nothing happens. It will say when it last checked for updates, but don't see an option to force it to check. Now it says last checked on March 1, 2017. When I check software version, it still says 1.
walkabout
I checked. Version unkind and in car is 2.
akirby
Maybe I had the reverse problem... But give it a shot anyway, via Wifi ==> Setting ==> Auto Update ==> Check for Update I do not have the menu option.
elijahbird7
Another question. When I turn on my Wi-Fi hotspot on my phone, and start the car. It links and shows the little icon in the right hand upper corner of the Sync3 screen, next to the phone icon. If I put it in gear and start moving, that Wi-Fi icon goes away. If I stop the car at a light or stop sign, the icon reappears again until I start going again. So, is it only connected to Wi-Fi when sitting still and not working at all while you drive the car? NOTMY911
I do not have the menu option. I'm sure you do... Maybe my description was not up to par since I was working from memory So, while you are connected to your home Wi-Fi: ==> General Setting ==> Automatic Systems Update ==> Scan For Update Now
akirby
No such button on my 1.0 system.
