Cosmos36 Posted June 29, 2015 Report Share Posted June 29, 2015 Every time I see an MKX front end I cringe at the view of the bumper with a mounted license plate frame. Although my state requires a front plate, I haven't installed one on several vehicles since a 1997 F-150. The grandson got a ticket for no plate in Portland driving my borrowed 2004 F-150, but was excused with no fine when returning to court with a photo of the mounted plate. On the 2016 MKX, I will continue with a mounted plate only on the vehicle's rear expecting to be ignored except in PDX and one local city notorious for their intersection photos of traffic light violators. Portland & the unnamed city have been avoided by me for many years, especially when the former adopted Sunday parking meter fees...greedy illegitimate offspring that figured out a way to eliminate free Sunday riverfront family events, outings, the zoo, restaurants, etc. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
