enigma-2 Posted March 15, 2021 Report Share Posted March 15, 2021 Pull your oil stick and look at the oil level. If the oil is creamish colored, theres water in the oil. If it looks like normal oil, there no water in the oil. If its creamy, then yes, you have coolant in the oil. Need to get it fixed ASAP to protect the bearings. Have it towed if necessary. Even so, it's possible that it's a blown head gasket, but failed water pump is much more common. If the oil on the dip stick looks ok, look at the water pump weap hole on the top of the engine. A water pump can fail internally (coolant in oil) or externally, seals fail and leaks externally. If there's coolant there, the water pump's inner o- ring is blown. There are two seals, when the inner seal fails, coolant leaks and is designed to leak out of the weap hole. (No coolant leaks if the outer seal fails. It's there to direct coolant leaking from the inner seal to the weap hole).
