  1. Can't believe this, my 2017 mkx reserve is doing the same thing as cafpaf at 20,000. miles. Was wondering if you found a fix to your problem?
  2. We had a 2010 Mkx Premiere loaded and love the ride, spacious interior, and comfort. We traded it in for a 2017 Reserve, big difference in room, (smaller interior), ride was not as nice, other than that, we like the Lincoln Mkx, just wish we had the 2010 back ?
  3. On my 2010 mkx, when the water pump went bad, the engine went into a safe mode, and the temp went up, no engine light or alarm went off.
  4. Having a similar condition with my 2011 MKX. After doing some investigating, no external leaks, brake petal solid when it works, (no internal leaks in M/C), went to the dealer and talked to a mechanic and he informed me there is a dump valve on each brake caliper, and one could be stuck open ever once in awhile. My brakes work fine, except for the fact that they go to the floor at times. Not often, but when it does it will do it 2-3 times in a row, then all is good for a while (months B-4 it happens again) Plan on flushing out my brake lines this weekend, then wait and see if it happens again. Problem is, I can't replicate the problem, it happens when it happens.
  5. This has nothing to do with your problem. but wondering how your mkx works as a toad with your RV? I have a 2011 MKX and thinking about getting an RV and getting negative results as using it as a toad car. Anything special needs to be done?
  6. Hi All, have a 2011 mkx and have enjoyed it, it has 53,000 mi. on it, and just as of late ran into a few problems, brakes petal go to the floor periodically, then by pumping them up it goes back to normal, also the trans has a bang to it maybe once a year. When it happens it feels like I ran over a 4x4 then it's over, never to be heard from again till it happens. This last time was so strong it knock out the hold dn tabs on the engine shroud. Any suggestions, I do my own maintenance program with the car. Thanks for your time.
