Skooba Posted August 13, 2017 Report Share Posted August 13, 2017 Have a 2016 MKX with the revel ultima system got in it this morning and the drivers lower door speaker sounds like it's the bastard child of a 1988 modem connecting to the internet and sega endura racer... cbala Posted September 15, 2017 Report Share Posted September 15, 2017 Had this happen once around 10 or 12K, has to be a screw up in the computer for the active noise cancellation or the engine/exhaust note. tdstarnes Posted October 28, 2017 Report Share Posted October 28, 2017 This happened to me the other night when I got in the car after grocery shopping. There was no way to get it to stop. Even turned the entertainment off and still the high pitched squeal kept going. You could hear it when you accelerated through the speaker. I even shut the car off and restarted and still no luck. Fastfwd75 Posted March 6, 2018 Report Share Posted March 6, 2018 As far as I can tell from driving the car with the top open the actual engine noise is not different from what I hear inside. I wonder how much difference the speaker really makes; it's not like it's trying to make a l4 sound like a v8. Noise cancellation too. I wish we had an option to turn it off just to see how much of a difference it makes. It is really quiet in the car. Plumbobby Posted December 26, 2020 Report Share Posted December 26, 2020 Hey guys, I'm having this issue and my local Ford dealer insists they are unable to disable the ACN. Has anybody tried disconnecting the 3 ACN mics located in the cab? I believe that's my next step but looking for feedback if anybody has had any luck making this issue go away. It's very intermittent for me and my local dealers seem pretty much useless and not helpful at all. They charged me hourly to take several test drives to "diagnose" when i specifically asked them not to, because it is intermittent. I just asked them to disable the acn. Thanks in advance! This may be due to software level FT4T-14C656-AE in the digital signal processing (DSP) module. To correct the condition, reprogram the DSP module with the latest level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool.
