ChrisG
My 2011 MKX has had a poor quality video feed for years. It first arose just after my lease was up and I opted to buy the vehicle. The dealer was unsympathetic, quoting almost $500 to replace. Has anyone had a similar issue, and what was your action or solution? Thanks! NOTMY911
... The dealer was unsympathetic, quoting almost $500 to replace... I told a dealer once that if he was the last dealer on the planet I would $#@^&* walk, it was rather quiet when I left the showroom... Check the cable/connector at the back. ChrisG
Thanks. I have taken the inside door tailgate cover off, removed the thumbsize camera and set it up again, all to no avail. Begged another dealer, not the sell site, to reset it and establish the parking lines, but that didn't work for video. Parking lines disappeared again one day later. Multiple complaints out there on the same topic for many models of Fords/Lincolns in recent years. Very weak response from Ford that this is a device that can 'wear out'. The vaunted 'service' of Lincoln Canada fell way short when I took it to their head office. Nice people there, but no one could say 'yes' to resolve this problem. enigma-2
Could always replace it yourself. They run from $340 for OEM all the way down $50 for aftermarket, on Ebay.
