If your key doesn't have the 4th button for remote start you don't have that option. From my reading it was separatly available at order n all levels of trim

where is the compass module on these cars. its not behind the mirror like other fords. Is it inside the mirror itself or maybe in the dash. Either way I 've got the calibration error that will not away

Have to say, I'm still loving this vehicle. Didn't know how much I'd like an SUV as a daily ride. Overall the car is fantastic considering how many features and the comfort of an 11 year old car, its just amazing. Still averaging 16 mMPG around town a big plus after the 11 MPG of my last lincoln. A/C is great cools off a hot florida car in minutes. The only issue so far is road noise, which i attribute to the cheaper tires the PS had on the car. The defroster is a little slow in clearing a early morning misty windshield. Big pluses the SYNC radio and usb port! Comfort of drivers seat, overall fit and finish is amazing for the age and mileage. I'd highly recommend these vehicles to anyone picking up a second car or even as a primary driver.

We just had this discussion yesterday on the Mustang forum site. It seems to be prevalent on some of the newer vehicles. It will take a cycle or two of off and on with the key to get the reading accurate. Evidently the sensor send its message to the ECU which send and "average of readings over a given time to the guage, this prevents gauge creep due to banked roadways such as interstate ramps or up hill and down hill conditions moving fuel around the tank.

So not sure if this is the correct sub for this but here goes. Starting to read about Forscan and how powerful a little trick it is. So i have the 2008 model with HID lights I want to activate the DRL function. I also want the "Chirp" on lock and unlock if possible. Finally can i get a read out of oil life %, like my last Lincoln? Currently it just returns the word oil life good on a system inquiry. Is good 100 miles left or a 1000?

other three speaker locations provide full output, using the sliders on the menu i can isolate each corner and the right rear is dead.

So my right rear door speaker doesn't have any output. Is there and off the shelf replacement like a 4" round or 6 x 9 that i need to get or should i just geta FORD gem speaker for $30 plus shipping. Also is it likely the speaker failed or should i start with wiring harness issues?

Are you replacing one or doing an add on? several on EBAY for $160+ up to $500.00

How many HP do we lose to using non-sport mode on the 2.7T?
BAYLENSMAN replied to Fastfwd75's topic in Engine & Powertrain
Remember most of the Armadas are 5.6 liter V-8s rated at over 390 ftlbs torque and 390 HP mated to a 7spd trans. so your giving away quite a bit in a "RACE" even at red lights but you also talking a combined EPA of 16 MPG. -
Sticky switch? A little squirt of WD40 may be called for

Well i've had the 08 for a few months, i don't do a lot of night driving. Most of what I do drive is in town and in traffic so high beams are just a flick now and then. Well this morning i was on my way in and a few minutes early i turned on the road and no traffic!! which is a minor miracle in itself. well i was surprised at how dark the road was and at the fact i couldn't see anything except a lonely read light in the distance. I flicked the high beams on!!! Holy material. its like somebody switched to color TV bright white and yellow line stretching a half mile or more in front of me and tree and bushed lining the road sign posts in the median it was sll there. After fighting with poor illumination only last lincoln (pre HID mark 😎 This is really amazing the combination of height and the projector lights being aimed correctly is amazing. The only issue is the light while ample is decidedly yellowish. I'm really happy with the more white or blue white on my wife's suv. Is there a bulb swap that will give me that color/intensity that works with the stock units in the 08 MKX?

I don't know the proper term but the large ledge like extension over the rear window is black the rest of the car is silver. What's the best way to seal/clean/wax refinish this short of re-painting. the under side seams to be a smooth black (not quite gloss but still smooth) similar to the panels around thee rear side windows. the top side however is so rough that it grabs threads out of the micro fiber when drying it. Ive tried Magic black and past wax so far with little result. Do i need to sand with 600 and re clear i? or is there some special way to finish it.
