My wife came home and noticed the securilock light flashing. The next day the car would not start, I checked under the hood, let the hood drop the car started. Shut it off and car would not start again. raised hood let it drop and it started same results. Any ideas

I'm having trouble starting new post but My wifes 2008 mkx just quit on her. After messing with it for awhile I googled and found out some times a key stops working after get the other key it started right up. She said she dropped the key. Is there anything to do to fix the key? Thanks Larry
