  1. When my MKX starts rolling and you put it to the floor, you can feel those twin turbos kick in and it gives you whiplash, no kidding.
  2. Have had our new 2016 MKX for about a week and the cruise control and the Pre Collison systems have failed. The tech says the cruise system control module has failed and the replacement part is back ordered and it could be 2 to 3 weeks to get it fixed. Called another Lncoln dealer and he confirmed that there has been rash of failures and yes in fact the part is on back order. Just in case your cruise quits working and you get the message in the left info window that your pre Collison is unavailable, you know why.
  3. Thanks for the warm welcome. Have a new 2016 MKX Reserve in Ruby Red and love it. Having a few issues but I think we are getting a handle on them. Have posted some our experiences already. We have no Lincoln dealers in northern Nevada so we had to buy it at a Las Vegas dealership. Any warranty problems are going to our local Ford dealer who hasn't performed to our expectations. They don't know how to properly treat a Lincoln owner. Hopefully we can train them in good time.
  4. Talked to our Lincoln dealer about a Nav says problem we are having. The Turn by Turn voice, not the voice recognition voice, comes on at full volume and it doesn't respond to the volume control. Took it to our local Ford dealer and they said it worked ok. Got it back and apparently the tech just went into the OBD computer link with Ford's IDS software and turned down the volume but it's still not controllable from the volume control. Talked to a Real Lincoln tech and he said it was a Sync 3 software problem, but they were expecting a Sync 3 update to be released next week. Good news for everyone!
  5. Hi, we're new to the forum and happy to be here. Just picked up our new 2016 MKX Reserve Trim Lincoln and we love it. Having some issues right out of the gate. One issue is the front seat cooling. We noticed that after a week, the passenger cooling seemed to deminish considerably all on its own. Don't have a Lincoln dealer in our area (bought the car at our nearest Lincoln dealer 380 miles from home) so we took it into a local Ford dealership. They checked the seat and reported everything ok. Didn't like that answer so I made a call to purchasing Lincoln dealer and talked to the service manager. What a wealth of knowledge. He explained to me the operation of the seat cooling. I thought there was a cooling element in the seat or some duct work that connected to the main AC system. WRONG. The cooling is achieved by a fan under the seat that draws in cool air from the floor area. You have to have the AC air blowing into the floor area, via the climate control on the Nav touch screen with NO obstructions under the seat and the engine running over 350 rpm. Seat cooling does not work unless the engine is running. Well when we picked up the car, our salesman thoughtfully had put the AC on with it blowing top and bottom vents. And I had not stuck the big fat First Aid bag under the passengers seat yet. Bingo. Wrong venting and big obstruction equals very little air flow and very little cooling. Thought you would like to know folks!
