Tofer
Yesterday, I looked at my passenger side dash and saw what appeared to be ripples or warping across the whole passenger side. Its not curling on the edge but it has warping from about 2-8" from the windshield side. What happened I thought, and realized my boner move. I was washing the MKX last week and had a damp towel I threw on the dash while I was wiping the seats. I must have left it there for an hour or so....picked it up and moved on. That dampness must have leached into the underlay or it just steamed on the dash in the Florida heat. Its the only cause I can think of....it happened so now what? I thought about doing the same thing and placing a heavy object on it to flatten it out or if no fix I suppose replacement, any one have any thoughts or magic suggestions . Bone head in Florida ! enigma-2
I'd try letting the car sit in the sun, heating the surface of the instrument cover get hot, the weight it down so that it lays flat. Let the weight sit for as long as possible on the vinyl (overnight if possible). It was formed with heat, distorted with heat and will need heat to reform to the original shape.
