2012 MKX Factory Door Code

Hello,

I have a 2012 MKX I bought used and have no idea what the factory door codes are.   I have tried the online instructions but they don't seem right.  I'll explain..

1.  IInsert key FOB into backup spot and press the START/STOP button once, wait a few seconds then press it again.

2.  Remove the key and insert the second key and press START/STOP.

Problem is, if I just press the button once, the accys come on.  Press it again, the entire display panel comes on.  Press it a 3rd time, with 2nd key inserted, and all goes off!   Exactly as it should. No code.

I tried actually starting the car, which is not in the instructions, and still get no code on the display.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Don't know about using key to get the codes (I have an 09) but if you're looking for the factory door codes used to lock/unlock the doors and open the rear hatch, they are on a sticker inside the fuse box (drivers compartment, left side, near floor).

Remove the cover and you should see the factory number.

Also remember that the codes from the previous owner will still work, might be best to erase these and then program in you new ones.
