I figure it makes the most sense to replace both sides so they match. The aftermarket LED units are not much more expensive than the HIDs. Can you simply swap over to the LEDs, or does the software/electronics prevent the substitution? JustDriver Posted January 22 Report Share Posted January 22 From what I've seen on other forums and Linc FB group, the wiring harness is supposedly plug-and-play, but you'll likely need to reprogram the BCM and you'll lose your adaptive headlight function - might be worth checking with a dealer before dropping cash on LED units. and in general LED swap is questional, are you HID not bright enough? [The right one aims and adjusts properly.] Replacing the unit myself is likely no more expensive than taking it to the dealer and having them tell me it needs to be replaced, and charging three times the cost for the part alone.
