    Yeah I agree, IMP headlights is something you can DIY even if you don't have good technical skills. Have you replaced it already?

    From what I've seen on other forums and Linc FB group, the wiring harness is supposedly plug-and-play, but you'll likely need to reprogram the BCM and you'll lose your adaptive headlight function - might be worth checking with a dealer before dropping cash on LED units. and in general LED swap is questional, are you HID not bright enough? Maybe just replace bulbs?

    Hey man, not sure if you figured this out already but they're the little IR sensors in your overhead console near the map lights - look like tiny speakers or grilles, usually just need a gentle wipe with a microfiber cloth to clear any dust blocking them.

    Try inserting the key and then turning it while also pulling gently on the door handle at the same time. Sometimes the lock cylinder just needs that extra bit of pressure to engage properly. Hope it helps

    I haven't done this myself, but from what I understand you'll need to remove the rear interior trim panel near the liftgate to access the speaker - it should be held in with clips and maybe a few screws

    You'll need both the new SYNC 3 module and a software update to at least version 2.2 or higher for CarPlay to work, and yes, once it's running it functions just like regular CarPlay in any newer vehicle.

    Oh okay, thanks for letting me know, I did not know even that they sell such kits separately. Will check it out and grab along with the lights. To have everything handy just in case. Appreciate your help, man!

    Hey everyone, Just have a quick question and sounds like I need a piece of advice please. Here's what's happening. I will have to tow an old small trailer with my MKX. I am totally unhappy with even an idea of doing this, though I cannot explain this to my dad who is aged and that is what he wants me to do. To get his old trailer to his cousin with my Linc. And I am absolutely fine with doing that for him, except of the fact that his old trailer's tail lighst are of no good already. So I was wondering, if I grab a set of simple universal LEDs (https://www.carid.com/trailer-lights/) and hook them up, will old wiring system recognize them?...

    Sounds like a short circuit. I am not an electrician, but I would make sure the relay is okay. In any case, a good electricial will help you diagnose the problem. Yet, it's better to do that asap not to end up with the dead battery one morning...

    Thanks, man. Will update right now, it's 3.7 L. Chose wrong displacement from the dropdown. And yes, I know about inspection, but somehow missed it...

    You are right, man. The other shop said the same. They say that if I discovered the crack in the boot right away, they could have simply replaced it and that's it. But when grease lacks, and water, sand and stuff gets into there, and the joint gets damages, nothing much they can do. Anyways, thank you for replying, as every time I had a crack in the boot, a simple repair kit did it (https://www.carid.com/cv-joints/). And I was hoping that this time I could do the same. Wish I noticed it earlier .... Now will check for a new half shaft on ebay.

    Hi everyone, Need your help, please. I have a 2010 MKX (front-wheel drive) and here's what happened. One of my rubber boots on a CV joint apparently got torn one day, and I haven't noticed it. Now, when I heared that noise when I drive, I went to the shop where they told me that they may no longer fix the joint by replacing the rubber piece and filling it up with grease. They say that I need a new driveshaft which sounds like a rip off to me. Has anyone had such case? Do I really need to buy a new driveshaft for $800+? Or there is a chance I may have everything fixed with a repair kit? Tomorrow I will go to the other shop we'll see what they say....

    Once I had a serious problem with my power steering overheating. First I also thought that something could've been wrong with a pump, or the filter could be clogged, but I ended up with replacing the steering cooler (https://www.carid.com/power-steering-coolers/) and also installing a new filter (even though the one I had before was still ok). Also I changed the fluid in the system and everything is fine up to now.
