marke52896
I have a 2008 MKX that last week started having electrical issues. It started with traction control light coming on followed by battery light and finally the instrument cluster would go out. Vehicle ran fine and even the head lights were bright as normal. Check, cleaned and tightened battery connection but that did not solve the issue. The next day the vehicle stop as the battery was dead. Battery was several years old so I replaced it but the battery light was still an issue. Everyone said it was the alternator, so I replaced that. Everything has been fine for 4 days and today the battery light has come on intermittently? Ideas on what to check, I dread the thought if it's a bad alternator just not fun to replace. LeoC2
Probably a bad cell in the battery. That can cause all sorts of weirness to all thge computers in the car. Have it tested and more than likely a new battery will solve the problems.
