Rural_OC_MKX
Last weekend I needed to remove the wheels to check the brakes. Last service the dealer report came back that brake pads were in the "yellow". I needed to determine what that meant. I think somewhere along the way the dealer started paying attention to the 162 ft-lbs of torque for the lug nuts. I used my 1/2 inch impact and noticed movement of the lug nut but they weren't coming off. When I finally got them off i noticed that they were the type that had an outer shell of something like thick sheet metal over a more solid nut. I had the same type of lugs on an '85 Dodge van. They were a pain until I finally replaced them all with solid lug nuts. I plan to do the same with this one. I don' want to go through that again.
