Bama_fan
I have a Lincoln Mix with 140 something thousand miles on it. It hasn't always hesitated but when it did start doing it, it was just here and there and now it's doing it almost every time I drive it. It has also not shifted put of first gear while driving down the road. I can put it in reverse and it does fine but when it doesn't shift out of first gear I have to push the gas pedal to the floor to get it to creep enough to get it in a parking lot. I then have to put it in park, turn it off for a min. Then turn it back on, put in back in drive and hope it does what it's supposed to do to get back home. It's extremely scary when it does this when I'm in crazy traffic. Any help would be much h appreciated!!
enigma-2
Reminds me of the complaints associated with TSS and/or OSS transmission sensors failure. (Prevalent among 2007 & 2008 vehicles). If you replace one, replace both). Widely discussed in the Ford Edge Forum. Here's a link to one discussion, you can do a search for many more. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10895-replacing-tss-oss-sensors/?do=findComment&comment=175857 .
