roadbiker
I've had my 2016 for a week and love it. My previous vehicle was a 2008 Volvo XC90, which was cavernous in the back in comparison. I do a lot of cycling and always purchase a Thule rack for any vehicle I own so I can carry my bikes on the top. My MKX came with the factory installed satin side-rails and I just purchased the Thule AeroBlade Edge system (crossrails). In the Thule instructions there is an illustration that seems to indicate to NOT open the sunroof when the crossrails are on the vehicle (not even the tilt/vent). It looks like there is plenty of clearance, so I can't imagine why. I am going to contact Thule, but I thought I would put it out here in case anyone has any experience with this setup. All the best, Jim
johngr904
I seemed to have missed the part about needing the factory siderails when I purchased all of my Thule rack parts...A little over $500 and I can't use them. I just put them up on Ebay at a pretty big loss to myself. So if anyone is interested... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Thule-Aeroblade-Roof-Racks-for-2016-2017-2018-Lincoln-MKX-460R-ARB47B-KIT4047/232927564935?fits=Year%3A2016%7CModel%3AMKX%7CMake%3ALincoln&hash=item363b909487:g:WCkAAOSw1lxbm2vu
