I have a 2016 that I purchased in June. The FM radio reception is by the worst I have ever had in ANY vehicle I have ever owned. My car is the Reserve model and does not have the Revel system, and surprising no HD radio. The station I listen to the most is unfortunately the worst affected. I live in the Atlanta metro area and the station is 95.5 - a news/talk radio station. It is where I get most of my local news and the reception sucks, in a word. It is staticky and there is a lot of interference. I've had the car looked at twice. The first time by their technical specialist who heard it and gave me the lame excuse that it was because of a nearby airport. He ran some in car diagnostics and told me the reception was within tolerance (not my tolerance). The second time I brought it my service advisor told me he could hear it. He must have had cotton in his ears.
Both times I had a loaner vehicle with the same radio, and while not great (or even good) by any measure, they were far better than mine. I demanded a radio replacement and they did it. It was really unacceptable. The issue is far better than it was, but the jury is still out. Mt previous car was a 2008 Volvo XC 90 and the reception was flawless. My wife as a new 2016 Fusion Hybrid and the reception is great. No static. No interference. And HD Radio!
I have no problems with Sirius radio reception. It cuts out every now and then when I go through areas that block the satellite, but otherwise it's pretty good. On the other hand I wouldn't know any better because this is my first car with satellite radio.
I will add that after the radio was replaced, I lost my subscription to Sirius. I had to call Sirius to reset the trial period on the new radio. Then I had to do a master reset of the Sync system (I have Sync 3).
