  1. Early this year I brought my 16 MKX in because the chirp was first really low, then it just stopped working. The dealership said it was faulty and replaced the horn or whatever it is that makes the chirp. Well I was on vacation in Florida with the MKX and on the way down, we had a lot of rain one day. We got out of the car to check into a motel and I noticed the chirp stopped working again. It didn't start working again until maybe the next couple days. Then it has been fine until last weekend when we had another huge rainstorm on Saturday all day and I noticed the chirp stopped again. After the car dried out, it started working again, but not as loud as it was when it was replaced. I am now wondering if there is an open wire somewhere causing a short. Could this also explain the dead battery I had yesterday? I reported it to the dealership yesterday when I stopped in to make an appointment for the battery problem.
