I’m the new owner of a 2008 MKX. MILEAGE:179k CONDITION : fair ISSUES: mostly cosmetic ENGINE & TRANSMISSION: still solid & want to keep it that way One of the previous owners did some very unconventional things to this vehicle including: 1. physically screwing unknown items to the front door panels, 2. cutting 6-inch holes in the back seat panel where the arm rest/drink holder comes down 3. constantly smoking black & milds with the windows up 4. adding some aftermarket trailer brake controller system. The car runs and drives fine - no engine or transmission noises. I think that I’m going to need to replace the master cylinder soon (starting to hear that noise) I am going to be on the lookout for parts cars to source some door panels, seats/seat covers, and a sunroof motor. I am hoping to learn a lot about this MKX from you all.
