That sucks. Cost me almost $1200 for a new mod for my radio..and on top of that my backup camera stopped working.

I’m having an issue with my 2011 Lincoln MKX. Recently my touchscreen has stopped working. It’s a blank screen. I cannot control or see anything (Climate Control,Radio,Phone,Backup camera). Also the USB controls underneath the center screen don’t work. When backing up the screen doesn’t change but the sensors still beep. Ive tried unplugging the battery for about 20min because that’s what a Ford tech told me. When I did this the radio comes back on but no screen. It stays on for maybe a minute then the sound fades to just the rear speakers then completely cuts off. The Ford tech told me it’s either the APIM or FCIM. How do I determine what one it is? What’s the easiest fix? Or least expensive to go with first? Are there any recalls or issues anyone has experienced? I bought the car used about 2 years ago and do not know the history.
