We have the same problem. I've checked off the setting in the menu and have the mirrors folded. But the lights only come on if I press the key fob to unlock the car. Like everyone else and my old MKC the lights should come on when I'm walking to the car. I just wanted to confirm this is a feature on this vehicle and not just the old one. Wish it was someway to solve at home and not take it in.

I had a 2015 MKC that had a proximity sensor that would turn on the welcome mat light and such when I approached the vehicle. Does the MKX do the same because I can't get it to work. I've tried locking the door from the inside switch, the door handle and the fob walking far away and coming back much later and I don't see it light up unless I press the unlock on the fob. Is this correct? Anything I can do?

Thanks cosmos36 ...then it may not have the plastic plug too. I will do synthetic every 5-6k. Thanks all. One last thing. Is there a good point to jack the truck and put jack stands. I like to drain it dry when I do oil changes.

In another post a series of pictures was done for a 2.7 engine. Is it the same way for the 3.7 engine to change oil? Do I have to get the filter from the dealer? Thanks.
