TurtleMan Posted September 4, 2022 Report Share Posted September 4, 2022 (edited) If you want to add an amp and a sub, you will need to get a separate harness to bypass the factory amp. The factory harness and amp has door chimes, anti-theft measures, and other stuff all running through it. It really depends on the year of your car and the type of radio it has. I have a 2016 MKX with 2 15's running 1k amp. Im pretty sure my car needed 2 different harnesses to get my subs working. Research is key, you can always ask a car audio shop and they could order you the harness you need.
