Haz Posted July 18, 2021 Report Share Posted July 18, 2021 The problem is often caused by a faulty blend door actuator, a type of motor that controls the mixture of cooled & heated air fed through the duct work. The presenter in this video has a strong accent, but the video provides a good summary of how the problem occurs and what it takes to fix it, though the MKX shown is an earlier model year vehicle. JimN Posted September 24, 2023 Report Share Posted September 24, 2023 Try this option before replacing a part. I found this online and it fixed the issue of one side blowing hot air on my 2013 MKX. Engine on, A/C off. Press A/C on button then rear defrost button, hold both on together for 10 seconds, then press A/C twice. It resets something or other! No problem since I did that.
