  1. I myself like fast cars mainly on acceleration, From the start when needed. Not around sharp corners though .
  2. Great...should I be anticipating other problems? Please say NO.
  3. Hi. Vehicle had a bad right wheel bearing. Part was replaced and no more humming! Thanks again for your feedback - great forum! #LOVEMYMKX
  4. Yep. Did just that. Made the appt for Friday and took it in today so a technician can drive it and duplicate everything I tested both in drive and sport mode together so he can hear the same exact sound I do. He heard it alright. Will post the diagnosis once crossover is out of Lincoln dealership. Really appreciate the responses. Have a good weekend!
  5. 911- I tested it in Sport mode and the humming was much louder/stronger. To the point where I felt vibration under my left resting on driver side floor. My only options are drive or sport. Either way, followed same side road onto highway in Sport, and then switched to drive on way back. Drive us lower humming noise and both hit around the same speed - 40-45mph
  6. Thanks. I will try your advice and update results.
  7. Yes, speedo Switched to MPH any other Canadian digital technology. Any feedback on tire brand or humming issues. Really appreciated your insight so far.
  8. Tire brand is Hankook made in Korea. Venus S1 noble2 Kontrol technology. It was shipped from Canada dealer to PA dealer and I purchased it used/demo car.
  9. Notmy911. Sorry, forgot to include 20" tire info on my previous response. Here it is: 245/50R20 102V. 2016 MKX Reserve. Thank you
  10. Hi NOTMY911 - yes, tested all asphalt types. New smooth highway just built. Concrete highway, local roads with average condition and a nice smooth local road. Regardless of road, the hum comes in shortly after hitting 45mph. Also, I noticed it gets louder on smooth highway the faster I drive 65-70mph. Almost like I can't get away from it.
  11. Thanks Akirby. I'll check tires for rocks. How can I tell if it's a bad tire belt?
  12. Hi. I Love my new 2016 MKX with 20" tires, however I am noticing a constant humming noise at speeds over 45mph regardless if I accelerate or coast, with a tiny bit of vibration on floor under left foot. This car has 7,000 miles. Is this normal. I did not hear this sound when test driving MKX with 18" tires. Does anyone know if this is a tire noise, or transmission. 3.7L. Appreciate input in advance. Thank you.
