I have a 2016 Lincoln MKX with 2 issues -
1. Battery - I'm on my 3rd battery in 2 years. The most recent new battery was put in and 3 days later it was completely dead, the key fob wouldn't even unlock the door. It jumped off immediately and was fine after that. I researched and saw a Youtube post from Pine Hollow Auto Diagnostics about a Telematic Control Unit modular being responsible for the parasitic draw. So, yesterday i unplugged that 16pin plug, and now will wait a week or so and see if that fixed it. If not, I'm clueless - and frustrated. There are not other cords plugged in, all doors are shut, and no lights are on. .
Anyone else have any fixes to the mysterious MKX parasitic battery draw issue that kills batteries?
2. Touch Screen - the screen illuminates but is not "touchable". Therefore, to change the radio you have to spin the dials manually and to change the fan/temp for the AC/Heater you have to press the +/-. To be honest, since i've had the car the touch screen hasn't worked so i dont know what all you should be able to see/do on there. I've done a hard restart on the Sync system to reboot it ( forgot how i did that now) but it didn't help anything. So, anyone else had issues like mine where the screen illuminates but is not touchable?
Also, is there any random chance that my battery issues are related to something to do with me screen not working - from a satellite communication perspective that could be constant draw on the battery?
Thanks
