I used a small screw driver and slowly pried it out from left side and then the top. Once you get one side to budge a little then you can maneuver the other sides. I had a set of pry tools too but they were of little help because the space is so damn tight. my problem and question for the board is getting Apple car play working on a 2016 MKX. I upgraded Sync 3 to version 3 with the USB. The car software version showed that it took after I turned the ignition off , waited and restarted. However when I plugged in two different I phones I was never prompted by the nav screen to accept car play. I confirmed with a call to Lincoln tech that I purchased the correct USB module. In fact I ordered the part number from reading a post in this forum about it. any ideas? Do I need to downgrade sync somehow and then upgrade again? Anyone else have this issue and solve it?
