  1. I am sure by now you have fixed your brake problem. If not however our 2012 mkx brakes had an issue and I found out there was a recall issued for the brake booster. No one even at the dealership it was purchased at detected it ( so much for certified pre owned 200 point inspection ). Anyway just thought I would pass it on. Happy trails....Jimmy Z
  2. Good day MKX people, After reading enigma-2 s' post of 10/14 stating that he had a corrosion protection module installed on his new automobile I was wondering if anyone else had ever heard of such a thing, because if it works I want one ! Out here over the last four or five years ( this year was better ) the county and state highway departments were laying down magnesium cholride and then went to a salt brine literally apparently half the cost, making the road wet but the corrosion factor is horrid. Can this device actually prevent rust ? Anyway any and all thoughts would be appreciated. Be well, do good work and enjoy the ride ! Nazdrowie, Jimmy Z
  3. Good day to all from the Big Sky Country of Northwest Montana. After 12 years a Subaru owner ( yes the same one ) I convinced my bride that perhaps we should consider a luxury car. Keep in mind we are just ordinary working people so price was important. Although we have had brand new cars and trucks it was decided to forgo the new smell and save thousands ! I thought with a certified pre-owned we could get a nice clean car and have a warranty. I had narrowed down our choices between the Audi Q5 and of course the Lincoln MKX. The whole CPO concept requires a dealership close by for service. With no Audi dealer within 200 miles and the fact that we could save five or six thousand by buying a Lincoln the choice was easy. Although there is no Lincoln dealer close to us there are Ford dealers and they can service our car. I do not know for certain if it is the 2012 MKX or the fact that we have not had a new car in a dozen years and the technology has changed so but we are obviously thrilled and quite blown away by this car. Yes it is a little noisy in the cab on the highway but it is fun to drive, handles like a rocket and we are having great luck with the my touch Lincoln. The car has already been in the shop ( and we had only had it for two weeks ) and apparently the brake booster recall was not addressed during the CPO inspection. Da ! wouldn't that be a no brainer ? Anyway all is good now and sometimes my wife even lets me drive ! Slainte, Jimmy Z
