CG 2013 MKX

Hello All, I'm a new member to this forum and I have a question re: the shifter removal procedures. I have the Haynes Service Manual but it doesn't provide clear instructions as to how to remove the shifter trim plate. I can get all the other pieces off with no problem. I'm up to where the chrome trim plate comes off and I tried prying up on it with a trim removal tool but I'm afraid I'm going to break it. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance. Have a great day all Charlie
