2016 MKX Reserve AWD - Introduction

Recommended Posts

Hello

I bought a 2016 MKX Reserve AWD from a friend. It seemed like a good deal.

Last time I owned a Ford was Ranger 88 new and had a hell of time so only bought Toyota's since then.

It has 95K miles.  Want to learn about high mileage maintenance for American cars in general and Lincoln in particular.

My top 3 advice...

1. Change PTU gear oil every 30k (I will do mine yearly now)

2. Use Synthetic engine oil and change your oil and filter faithfully!

3. Change Coolant as needed. People always forget its a lubricant also and breaks down just like oil.

* If I didnt know when the above were done, Id just go ahead and do all 3 ASAP.
