2014 MKX hatch issues

Recommended Posts

My 2014 MKX rear hatch will, randomly, not operate properly. At times, most of the time, the rear hatch will open with the interior button - then it will not close with the button, foot switch or the remote. We have had it back to the dealer numerous times with no success in fixing it. We hear the motor randomly actuating while parked, or just sitting around with the engine off and parked. We also hear the actuation process when the engine is off and sitting in the garage. The dealer has replaced the motor and two sensors with no success in fixing the problem. They now say the garage door opener frequency is interfering with the rear hatch causing all of these problems. Any suggestions, solutions and/or other ideas would be greatly appreciated. This vehicle is used to us, almost a year now, but the problem did not begin until we owned it for three months.
