Is 2017 hood aluminum?

Don't know, not specified in the literature. Simple to verify though, take a refrigerator magnet and touch the hood. If it doesn't stick, it's aluminum. If it does, it's steel.

Thanks.  Magnet does not stick.  Probably aluminum but could also be some sort of composite material (think Corvette).

No composite.  It's either steel or aluminum.

 

Or Aluminium if you're in the UK.
