2007 MKX won't remote start

Recommended Posts

Morning all,

I've a problem with my cherished 07 MKX, no problems with Black Beauty until this morning. The remote start will turn on the lights and I can hear it arm, 2 seconds later the horn will chirp once and the start process doesn't continue. The troubleshooting guide begins at 2 horn chirps. Can this issue be fixed without a trip to the Lincoln dealer?

Thanks

Thanks Robert, I'll try the 2-sites. If nothing comes of it I guess that I'll talk to the service writers at Ford.......

Is this a hard reset for it - like pulling a fuse to reset the SYNC system?

I own a 2007 Lincoln mkx FWD I didn't even know it had remote start. My key doesn't have that feature.

If your key doesn't have the 4th button for remote start you don't have that option. From my reading it was separatly available at order n all levels of trim

Where can I find the list of warning "beeps" when using my remote start on my 2007 MKZ?

How old is the vehicle battery?

Need to test it (not voltage, the CCA measurement). Weak vehicle batteries throw all kinds of problems with the temps drop.
