On my order, the dealer gave me my VIN about 4 weeks after I ordered. The VIN was listed on etis with a generic build date of 30.11.0002, and there was only basic information about the vehicle. The first time I checked etis was on 1/4/16. My window sticker wasn't available until 1/21, with a print date of 1/20. As of today, etis still doesn't show a real build date for mine. As soon as I get a build date, I'll post what information I was able to get on various sites, and the times that information became available. Larry ETA: You have a 15 digit VIN, right? I’m making an assumption on this date based on information I read here about factory orders being placed on Thursdays. · 1/4/16 – E-mailed dealer and got VIN number from him. It might have been available earlier, but this was the first time I had checked. VIN was in Etis on this date, with basic build information and the 30.11.0002 generic date. http://www.etis.ford.com/ · 1/21/16 – I was finally able to view my window sticker at http://www.windowsticker.forddirect.com/windowsticker.pdf?vin=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx .Replace the Xs with your 17 digit VIN. The date on my sticker was 1/20/16. · 1/25/16 - Window sticker showed up at Research Maniacs. http://researchmaniacs.com/VIN-Number-Lookup/WindowSticker/Lincoln.html\ · 1/29/16 Etis shows build date of 1/28/16, but no additional build information. · 2/1/16 – Etis shows build details. It appears that your dealer is not the type that keeps you informed & updated of details as the process unfolds. Some do, some don't. ETIS still show a build date of 30.11.0002 Got the Window Sticker 3 Feb 16: The Window Sticker Invoice Date of 01 29 16 but ETIS still show a build date of 30.11.0002 Got the window sticker 3 Feb 16: New ETA from the Concierge: 22 of Feb 16 6 Feb 16: New ETA from the Dealership: 19 of Feb 16 8 Feb 16: ETIS show a build date of 30.11.0002 @ 5AM but after lunch it shows 08.02.2016 but with minimal detail. 9 Feb 16: Got an e=mail @ 17:46 to tell me that the car has arrived (being only 5 hour drive away, it could have been built on the 8 and delivered on the 9. Got my VIN on 1/12 from the salesperson. Concierge emailed on 1/27 stated that the MKX was "currently in the production stage!", so got some mixed messages between Concierge and ETIS/Sticker... I am not surprised. But still nothing on ETIS, other than it knows it is a 2016 MKX I found a posting on BlueOval (I think) stated that if the first digit was a "2" in yellow below, the following digits will be yyyymmdd for build date. So I have been checking both ETIS and Window sticker site.... I would be interesting to figure out what the other box on the window sticker might mean. It seems like the wait is forever... Was just about to post that on my way home I checked the Window Sticker of the cars on the lot and some had had a 1 (i.e..100031 for 2LMTJ8KR9GBL33715 and others had 2 (i.e.. 200010 for 2LMTJ8LRXGBL52921 ) which does not look-like any date code. Apparently not... For 2LMTJ8KR9GBL33715, the ETIS shows a build date of 17.09.15 but Ford Window Stickers shows 02/02/16. I check my VIN and it still shows 02/01/16 so not sure what that date is? I read somewhere that Cotusb was a beta site and was no longer used. I read somewhere else that cotus doesn't work for Edge orders.I don't think that the date on your window sticker will change. The next place you'll see a date change will be etis. The date won't change until a day or so after your MKX is built.I think you're looking at the wrong date on the sticker. Look at the one above where you're looking, inside the margins of the sticker. It'll look like 02 01 16. My build date was 8 or 9 days after my sticker invoice date, so assuming a sticker date of 1/25 for yours, your MKX should be built very soon. The date I was puzzled by, is outside the frame below the Invoice Date. I just print them so basically its yesterday date (02/02/2016), just another mystery... I doubt that the pdf are generated on the fly, most likely stored on the webserver, and the server presents a pdf copy. As for cotus or cotusb, the only thing I am getting so far is below... Maybe it is because the unit is not been shipped???? It would be interesting to find out if others experienced the same you can't see anything on cotus( until a certain time in the build time line. A matching vehicle could not be determined. Please contact your dealer to get status updated about your order. Please verify your input and try again. I agree with punch-card that the date at the bottom of the form is probably the date the PDF was created.
