Tire recommendations

In some locales, it may be difficult to find a retailer that will install differing tires at front or rear-only axels, especially snow tires. In Oregon a lawsuit involving installation of snow tires only on the front of a FWD vehicle that was involved in a fatal crash spooked tire retailers.

I'm running 245/50R20, Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Plus II tires. Smooth and quiet. Well satisified in all respects. (Also have them on my wife's Sebring vert.)

As your driving an 08 model, could consider changing the tire pressure sensors when installing new tires. These sensors have a ten-year rated life battery and yours is pushing it.

I had one sensor that periodically failed. Would drive a few miles and it would start working again. Finally got tired of this and had four new sensors installed in my 09 MKX. A few months later I had to have a new wheel installed and the dealer was only able to use a NAPA strap (Motorcraft sensor). Strap broke after a week. Had them do a nationwide search and found a Motorcraft strap in Louisville. No priblems since. Dealer told me they normally use the Chineese sensors as most want to save money.
